Jim Krawiecki, the Author of the Pesda Press publication Welsh Sea Kayaking was interviewed on Monday 12 December by Ed Douglas of the Daily Telegraph. The article will appear in a Saturday edition of the Daily Telegraph in the near future.
There is now no doubt in my mind that journalists are in league with the Devil! After a week of non stop gales, overcast skies and rain we get a phone call: “Ray Wood is coming to do the photographs, so we need bright sunshine and calm water between 11am and 3pm on Monday”. They turn up on Monday and we get a narrow window in the weather and perfect blue skies; by 4pm it’s back to gales and rain.

Left to right: Ed Douglas, Jim Krawiecki and Ray Wood.
After a delightful paddle down the Menai Strait to introduce Ed to the joys of sea kayaking we retired to a local hostelry for the interview. This is of course in the best traditions of Jim’s book where most of the journeys can be started and finished at a good cafĂ© or pub.
We’ll let you know the date of publication of the article as soon as we know when it will appear.
