I thought I’d share this series of emails with our readers as an insight to the trials and tribulations of a publisher. Michal also realises that this is a piece of high comedy and has sportingly agreed to me publishing it on our blog.
Hi Franco,
Unfortunately there is a delay.
The lorry is at Dover. The driver together with the truck is stopped by customs clearance.
In the past 4 years ago the driver was smuggling immigrants (happens sometimes when they get on in Calais - the driver does not have to know about it)
The driver did not pay the fine for that - so know the lorry is stopped.
The haulier is organizing the money and/or the second lorry to pick the goods.
We here think that is tru but keeping chasing for additional information.
Regards
Michal
Hi Franco,
Latest news - money for the fine are paid in - now we are wating for customs to confirm they have received the money - as soon as it will be confirmed the truck will be released.
Regards
Michal
Hi Franco,
The truck is released. Will be at the warehouse tomorrow.
I think it will be about noon - but will confirm tomorrow.
I am sorry for all this situation.
Regards
Michal
