Pesda Press were sharing a stand with Skyak and Sunart Media at Paddle 09. Gordon Brown and Simon Willis were launching the Sea Kayak DVD and business was brisk. Franco was there on behalf of Pesda Press and from our point of view the show was a great success. We met lots of people, promoted Pesda Press, contacted potential authors and sold many books.
It is a great show, big enough to be worth going to but small enough that you get to see everything. All the big names were there. The ‘new’ thing was that as well as the American ‘Eddyline’ range of sea kayaks (imported by Reed Chillcheater) being made in Carbonlite tm plastic, there was a demo Alaw Bach from Rockpool Kayaks made in the same thermoplastic. Ideal for rockhopping?
