Contractors for Railtrack are undertaking repairs to the bridge which forms the wave at Stanley. The tunnel is closed for 4-7weeks from 16th October. This means that the wave will likely be out of action until early December.

Congratulations go to Lindsay Evans (Wales) who brought home the 2008 Sweet Rumble Boatercross ladies title last Saturday on the Åmot, Sjoa.

A couple of photos from last week’s low water sunshine in Italy and good water in Switzerland. The spiral formation in the photo of the Vercasca looks on closer inspection to be someones artistic endeavour, look out for a fossil record of Dyathinkisaurus next time you paddle the river.
